Schools

Merryhill School

We donated a large planter box to Merryhill in July of 2022. We talked to the Principal of the school, Ms. Jessica, and discussed future plans. She hopes that her school can continue to do similar work by building things that will help other schools and places. She emphasized her passion for carrying on our message of helping out other schools.

Northwood Elementary School

We donated a large planter box to Northwood Elementary in August of 2022. We spoke to the secretary, Ms.Broker, and discussed the impact Building it Forward makes on their school. She talked about how some classes garden as a science experiment studying the process of plant growth. This planter box allows for them to learn with more convenience and ease.

Horner Middle School

We donated a small indoor planter box to Horner Middle School in October of 2022. We presented our ideas to Ms.Andrea's 6th grade class and discussed the impact Building it Forward makes on schools. This is what Ms.Andrea had to say about us, "The Building It Forward presentation done by Muntazir and Tanish was excellent! My students learned a lot about how to get their own start on creating a garden with their bare hands. It was also beneficial for my middle school students to hear about the contributions high schoolers are making to better our schools and environment. The “Build It Forward” planter box itself is well-built and has been a focal point in our classroom ever since."

Morrill Middle School

We donated a large planter box to Morrill Middle School in June of 2023. We talked with our former teacher, Ms. Cunningham, who was the coordinator of their gardening club. We discussed about how this planter box will positively impact the students. Ms. Cunningham explained how she is excited to watch students try new activities or continue their passion of gardening at school.

Vinci Park Elementary School

We donated a large planter box to Vinci Park Elementary School in June of 2023. We discussed with the principal, Ms. Goodner, about the potential projects the planter box could be used for to help the students.
